The Black Canyon Adventure Tour begins with a quick stop at Expedition Depot in the heart of Boulder City. You are then transported to Hoover Dam where you will begin with a relaxing 11 mile float trip. Your guide will escort you down the Colorado River and into the Black Canyon where you are likely to encounter Big Horn Sheep grazing along the shoreline, ancient Indian petroglyphs along the canyon walls and bumbling natural hot springs.
You will enjoy the outdoor beauty of the canyon while you dine on your prepared lunch as the tour stops on the beach. Your friendly and informative guide will explain the history of the area and the ancient ways the river was navigated by early explorers as they arrived from Mexico looking for gold and other treasures. There are many photo opportunities along this tour, so be sure to bring your camera.
From here you will return to Expedition Depot where you will be picked up in a special equipped 'Hummer', Deep Desert Exploration Vehicle (D.D.E.V) that will take you into places no other vehicle can access. This will be the ride of your life as the Hummer powers through the rugged Frenchmen Mountains arriving at the major fault line Lizard Eye Ridge. Next, you are delivered back to your hotel room safe and sound, with memories of a lifetime.
