Your morning begins as you tour through the 1829 Discovery Springs area on your way to the magnificent Red Rock Canyon. Enjoy a 13 mile scenic drive that encircles the 197,000 acre national conservation area, and you will also have the opportunity to visit the Red Rock Visitors Center.
Then it's off to Mount Charleston, where you will travel through the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area, home of the Toiyabe National Forest. Starting at 2,155 feet above sea level in the surrounding suburban desert, you'll notice Joshua and yucca forest gradually changing to a wondrous display of juniper, mountain mahogany, colorful aspen and towering Ponderosa pine. You'll enjoy a scrumptious brunch at the Mount Charleston Lodge followed by a trip through Kyle Canyon, home of the only ski resort in Las Vegas.
